UNIDO and ITPO Italy took part in the 8th edition of the Rome 2022 MED - Mediterranean Dialogues promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) held in Rome, Italy from 1st to 3rd December 2022.

In this framework, ITPO Italy supported the participation as speaker on the official kick-off day of the event of UNIDO Managing Director Ms. Fatou Haidara in the 'Panel Prosperity: Economic Recovery in Uncertain Times'. “Economies are recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, but they are also challenged by other crises, such as food crisis and energy crisis. Our mission as UNIDO is to support countries to recover better and greener through policy setting, institutional capacity building and support to the private sector” commented Ms. Haidara, also during her official interview at MED 2022.

Furthermore, during the preliminary MED 'Youth Forum' session, UNIDO ITPO Italy's Investment Promotion Expert Mr. Andrea Carapellese joined with an opening remark the panel 'Youth Policy Lab for Climate Action' in light of the active support provided by ITPO Italy for the second consecutive year as jury member in charge of selecting policy papers related to climate change adaptation and mitigation presented by youths from the Mediterranean area.
