At the 2026 edition of Macfrut - The Fruit & Veg Expo, organized by Cesena Fiere and held in April 2026 in Rimini, UNIDO ITPO Italy supported three institutional and business delegations from three countries and various projects implemented by the office.

As part of its 2026 UNIDO Delegate Program for Ghana, UNIDO ITPO Italy provided significant support to the representative of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), strengthening its knowledge of the Italian ecosystem and opportunities for collaboration with Italian companies and technologies.

From Iraq, UNIDO ITPO Italy supported four companies potentially interested in purchasing Italian technologies in the sectors represented at Macfrut. Some of these operators are already in an advanced stage of discussions for the purchase of a packaging line from an Italian exhibitor, while two also operate in the highly specific date sector, on which UNIDO ITPO Italy recently organized a webinar and will soon return with further initiatives within the current project funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Finally, the presence of Alex Mukotaniy, representing the Uganda National Farmers Federation (UNFFE) -- who already stood out for his very effective support a few weeks ago at UNIDO ITPO Italy's pilot workshop in Kampala with local commodity producers interested in international markets. At Macfrut, the Ugandan delegate had the opportunity to experience firsthand Italian technologies and solutions relevant to the Ugandan market and to UNFFE members. This also facilitated potential future interactions with similar associations and promoted participation in the National Agricultural Show in Jinja, the country's main agricultural fair held annually in Uganda in early July.
