Within the framework of the project “Scaling-up the business center services for innovation and technology in Iraq”, funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on 31st August 2026 UNIDO ITPO Italy launched a new training on artificial intelligence applications for businesses in Baghdad.

Delivered in collaboration with Makers of Baghdad at the Iraqi Federation of Industries (IFI), the 30-hour hybrid programme will equip over 30 Iraqi entrepreneurs, SMEs, startups and professionals with practical skills across five modules: AI-driven data analysis and enterprise insight extraction, automated table and business content generation, institutional report writing and digital workflow automation, AI tools for marketing and digital presence, and a final applied capstone clinic where participants put their new skills to work on real business cases.

The programme adopts a hands-on approach, with participants developing AI-powered tools such as automated dashboards, structured pricing sheets and institutional reports drafted with Large Language Models (LLMs), and completing the training with an AI-automated version of a real document or workflow from their own business or department. The training is delivered by Makers of Baghdad, a hub that has already trained more than 16,000 people in Iraq and developed its own in-house AI tools for business.
